How does ciftliksistem® Farm Information System Work? What do users of our smart farm management system say? Let’s hear the benefits of our herd tracking system from our user.
As Ciftliksistem, we chatted with Fettah Pal, whom we visited, about the importance of herd tracking, East Friesian Sheep and Herd management, ciftliksistem.
What does herd management bring us, what does ciftliksistem herd tracking add to you. How much importance do animal husbandry enterprises give to analysis in the light of data, what does analyzing bring us.
For years, animals are imported to Turkey. Many different breeds such as East Friesian, German Merino, Asaf sheep, Lacaune sheep, Ile de France are imported by thousands every year. Have we ever thought why we import these sheep breeds? Why can’t we buy them from Turkey. And why do we need to import different breeds instead of using our local breeds?
Especially in European countries such as Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, Russia, many different breeds have been produced. As a result of 80-100 years of work, many breeds have been produced that are resistant to diseases and high-yielding after crossbreeding until reaching purity. For example, our local Ivesi sheep is among the ancestors of the Asaf breed. While we have breeds in Turkey that can live in many different geographies, high meat or milk yielding, resistant to diseases and difficult conditions, why shouldn’t these studies and developments be done in Turkey. Why shouldn’t local producers export animals in the future.
The first key to producing quality animals is tracking animals. Especially, data and analysis are needed to breed the animals we have. In our country, records are kept with traditional methods (excel, etc.). Is herd tracking possible with Excel? Of course, why not. But here, different difficulties arise. Primarily, data can be kept, animal-based records can be taken. But what is important in herd management is to be able to analyze relationally and by date. For example, let there be an animal that constantly gives twin offspring, all offspring of this animal die in the first month. It is quite difficult to analyze these deaths, the mother of the dead offspring, the father, the disease, treatment, environment that may cause death. In another example, if pregnancy does not form in consecutive matings, it is quite difficult to determine whether this situation originates from the ewe or the ram. Ciftliksistem smart herd management program presents you many data such as animals not getting pregnant in matings, mating rams, dates, death rates, twinning rate by reporting. With Ciftliksistem smart farm management system, tracking your most efficient and most inefficient animals on your farm is very easy. Farm system supports RFID ear tags and allows practical and fast operations during animal management.
For your small ruminant animal record system needs, you can review our farm management system from ciftliksistem.com. By using our locally produced ciftliksistem software, you can control animal matings, ram services, births, twinning rates, live weight gains, treatments, diseases, family tree, pedigree, weighings, animal efficiency from anywhere in the world with a single click. You too can reduce animal feed costs, increase meat and milk production, and save labor by using smart tracking systems like ciftliksistem.
How does ciftliksistem® Farm Management System Work?
ciftliksistem® allows you to store all data such as animals, treatments, births, lambing, live weight, diseases in the cloud environment and analyzes the data to give you alerts and produce efficiency reports. ciftliksistem® software can be used in the field with tablet, computer, or mobile phone. RFID (chip) ear tags integrate to allow fast and practical operations at the animal’s head. With the data it collects, it produces reports and statistics aimed at increasing profitability on your farm. It prevents data loss and minimizes human error. One of the most important elements is that it creates a family tree and can report with a single click the live weight gains, fertility, milk yields, treatments, and other data of individuals such as mother, father, grandmother, grandfather in breeding selection. It includes smart tools for farm management.
